Aliki van Heek is a nuclear all-rounder with over 30 years experience in multiple areas, including economics, sustainability, radioactive waste management, nuclear safety, high temperature reactors and other advanced reactors. She holds an MSc in Technical Physics and a PhD in Nuclear Engineering. She is an independent nuclear consultant with her company Bèta Research since 2023, carrying out various assignments in these fields. Prior to this, she worked for seven years at the IAEA in Vienna, on the interface of energy, economics and environment, and 23 years at NRG in The Netherlands, in positions on the levels of Senior Consultant, Project Manager, Programme Manager and Team Manager.
