Pim Reuderink, Bureau Veritas

Pim Reuderink DBA is already for 12,5 years the Technical Manager Northern and Eastern Europe at Bureau Veritas and an internationally recognised specialist in nuclear quality assurance, energy infrastructure, hydrogen, pipelines, CCUS and independent verification. He has more than 20 years of experience supporting major energy and industrial projects across Europe through certification, conformity assessment, technical assurance and regulatory compliance.

Pim was actively involved in the Olkiluoto 3 (OL3) EPR nuclear power plant project in Finland, where he supported quality assurance, supplier oversight and conformity assessment activities throughout one of Europe’s largest nuclear new‑build projects. This provided extensive experience in nuclear safety culture, supply‑chain assurance and compliance with nuclear requirements and international codes and standards.

In 2018, Pim became one of Bureau Veritas’ first qualified ISO 19443 Lead Auditors, following the introduction of the international quality‑management standard for organisations supplying products and services important to nuclear safety. Since then, he has supported audits, supplier‑qualification programmes and quality‑assurance initiatives across the nuclear supply chain, helping organisations strengthen both quality and safety culture.

Pim holds a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) focused on energy management and energy economics, with research centred on levelised cost methodologies and energy infrastructure. He also holds an MBA and is a Chartered Scientist, EUR ING, and Incorporated Engineer. His current interests include nuclear energy, hydrogen systems, CCUS and the economics of low‑carbon energy transition pathways.

Beyond his professional role, Pim serves on the Advisory Board of Stichting Energietransitie Kernenergie (SEK) and contributes to several national and international initiatives related to nuclear energy, engineering, pipelines and strategic energy infrastructure. He is also a researcher within the North Sea Energy programme, HyTros, Aquaventus, and contributes to innovation projects focused on the future integrated energy system.

Pim is a regular international speaker on nuclear new‑build projects, SMRs, nuclear quality assurance, safety culture, supply‑chain excellence and the role of independent assurance in delivering safe, secure and affordable low‑carbon energy systems. He presented at the Nuclear Industry Conference (NIC) 2026.
